There are three ways to participate in the Healthcare Supply Chain Standards Coalition—as a member of the Oversight Committee, as an auxiliary member at the subcommittee level and as an observer.
Oversight Committee
The Standards Coalition’s Oversight Committee provides strategic guidance, final review and approval of the subcommittees’ work and management of the Standards Coalition’s overall governance.
Annual membership dues for the Oversight Committee are $25,000 for manufacturers, distributors, group purchasing organizations and solutions providers. Annual dues for healthcare provider organizations are $5,000. These dues include three subcommittee seats in addition to a seat on the Oversight Committee.
Oversight Committee members are experienced executives who hold positions of influence in their respective organizations and who have a high-level understanding of the healthcare supply chain and its associated issues. The Oversight Committee convenes in quarterly, face-to-face meetings, with additional interim teleconferences as needed.
The Standards Coalition will strive to achieve a balanced representation of healthcare providers, manufacturers, distributors, solutions providers and group purchasing organizations in the subcommittee membership.
Representatives filling these seats have a deep level of subject matter expertise relevant to the subcommittee’s stated goal and hold positions of authority within their organizations. Subcommittees, at a minimum, meet monthly by teleconference and biweekly if determined necessary. Interim communication takes place via email, listserv and web-based tools.

Auxiliary membership provides organizations an opportunity to participate on the Standards Coalition subcommittees. An organization that joins at this level can participate on up to three subcommittees (maximum one seat per subcommittee), with dues based accordingly.

Observer Member
Associations representing stakeholders of the healthcare supply chain industry, as well as relevant governmental entities, have the opportunity to participate in the Standards Coalition Oversight Committee as non-voting members.
Observer participants will be able to contribute subject matter expertise to the Standards Coalition discussions and should be able to influence a large membership of industry constituents.
Observers will receive Standards Coalition Oversight Committee correspondence and materials, be invited to attend meetings, and be able to participate in discussions. There are no dues associated with Observer membership, and observers will not have voting privileges. As part of their membership, observers are asked to commit to participating in at least one Standards Coalition subcommittee so that the Standards Coalition may benefit from their expertise.
